Let me bask in the glory of my (non-)achievements

Seriously. As if I didn't feel crappy enough when I woke up today. Got an email asking me to complete a form listing all my achievements at uni. Things like "Best student award", "University representative" etc. etc. I get what they're intending to do but when you're already in your final semester at uni and suddenly you're shoved a form which you can't really fill up because you've apparently not done anything for the past four years; what you get is a slightly maniacal scholar who has to resist the urge of covering said form with a variety of "colourful" words.

Awesome people. Way to make me feel good about myself. I am officially a loser.

In fact, rub more salt in the wound by using a tone that suggests that we all have wonder achievements, prizes, awards etc just hiding  in the closet but were just too "shy" to share the good news with everyone. In fact " Feel free to attach a separate piece of paper" because we're all outstanding students and have gazillions of things to list down!

Yes, I'm bitter. And yes this is an irrational rant. But I do not need this type of psychologically-abusing shit when I'm already feel shitty enough. I've got enough of an inferiority complex/ self-confidence issues to deal with thankyouverymuch.

On the flip side, at least I know and can write in my name! Great!

*Note to self: Don't check email when cranky. Don't check email on Sunday morning.

I forgot the point.

I got asked my age twice this past month. The first time, many weeks ago, the question came unexpectedly. It seems that I haven't been asked that question for awhile, because I had to embarrass myself by having to pause while I did some mental arithmetic. 24 by the end of the year. I got laughed at of course (How can you not know your own age??!!).

The second time, the questioner tried guessing my age. Started of with 21. Which is the typical age for 4th year Australian student. I suppose I should be pleased. But I have a sneaky feeling it isn't really a compliment.

Oh well, you can never tell.
